Search the Nature Coast for scallops on a half-day skiff charter
4 Hours
Up to 6 people
Fishing license, snorkel gear, water
Explore the Nature Coast by custom skiff and snorkel as you search for scallops in clear coastal waters. This half-day charter is set up for families, couples, and small groups.
Bring a state-issued ID (required). If you have a child 12 and under, bring youth-sized snorkel gear as provided gear fits ages 13 and up best. Additional vehicles beyond two parking spots cost $15.00 per vehicle.
Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. For scalloping charters, cancel at least 15 days before your scheduled charter for a full refund. No-shows will be charged the full price.
Bring a state-issued ID (required), plus a bathing suit, towel, sunglasses and sun protection, and a small cooler bag for your scallops after the trip. You may also want a change of clothes to leave in your vehicle, lunch/snacks, soft drinks or adult beverages, and a waterproof camera.
Snorkel, mask, and fins are included. If you have a child 12 and under, bring youth-sized snorkel gear—provided equipment is best suited for ages 13 and up and may not fit younger children properly.
You can keep up to 2 gallons of scallops per person or 10 gallons per boat, whichever is less.
Ozello Keys Marina
This family-owned operation clearly knows how to make people feel welcome on the water. Emily stands out in multiple reviews for her exceptional customer service, handling everything from flexible rebooking to cheerful equipment setup. The various captains (Carlos, Billy, Gary, Chris) each bring real expertise and patience, whether you're scalloping for the first time or heading out to spot manatees. Guests consistently mention knowledgeable guides who adjust plans based on conditions and go the extra mile, like pulling out different sized gear or helping with the harvest. The wildlife viewing delivers. People routinely spot manatees (sometimes 20+), plus the occasional alligator and other critters. The location offers both easy kayak access to springs and scalloping adventures, with most paddlers finding it a manageable 20-30 minute trip to the good spots. One negative review mentions overhearing unprofessional comments from staff, which stands out against overwhelmingly positive feedback. Overall, the combination of quality equipment, helpful team members, and great wildlife encounters makes this a solid choice for your water adventure.
Awesome kayaking experience! Manatees were gone to the ocean but we did have a dolphin swimming beside our kayak! Loved this and we were vey late arriving. The young lady was very understanding and held our spot. Had a blast!
