Sea Life Park
Sea Life Park draws mixed reactions from visitors, with opinions splitting sharply between those who found it a highlight of their Hawaii trip and others left disappointed by the facilities. The dolphin shows and experiences consistently earn praise, with many calling them dream-worthy and worth the visit alone. The luau package gets enthusiastic recommendations for its food, entertainment, and cultural activities. Families particularly enjoy interactive experiences like turtle feeding, and staff members generally receive kudos for being friendly and knowledgeable. However, there are legitimate concerns about the facility's condition. Multiple visitors note the park feels dated and underfunded, with some exhibits appearing empty or poorly maintained. The main spiral tank drew specific criticism for looking lifeless and dirty. Several reviewers questioned whether the habitats provide adequate space for the animals. A few mention closed-off areas and shortened shows, suggesting the park may be operating below full capacity. If you're considering a visit, the dolphin encounters and luau combination seems to offer the best value, though managing expectations about the overall facility condition will help ensure you enjoy what the park does well.
We did the sea life park and Luau experience, the park is a little small but included some animal demonstrations and feedings. The sea turtle feeding experience was a lot of fun and brought the turtle up close to see. The Luau experience was amazing and included food, drinks, and cultural activities. There was some rain showers during our visit but they do have a covered area to eat/wait out the rain if needed.
