Itinerary

1. Your adventure will commence at the Bayou Sorrel Park where Captain Al will meet you.
2. Once you arrive to the boat launch, Al will provide a brief introduction on safety and instructions on handling the kayak for a smooth paddle.
3. Al will assist with entering the kayak and ensure your comfort.
4. You will then explore the beauty of the Atchafalaya Basin.
5. Lastly, you will leave your kayaks at the boat launch for Al to retrieve.

Important details

• Arrive 15 minutes before your tour
• Ages 8+ may paddle solo; children under 16 require an adult at all times
• Swimming ability is required
• Requires sitting upright for the full paddle and safely paddling and controlling your kayak
• Requires getting in and out of the kayak independently or with minimal help from your group
• Maximum weight limit: 250
• Sign a waiver before launching
• Wear the provided life jacket at all times
• Stay within the designated route
• Return your kayak at the designated time; a late return fee applies
• No alcohol or drug use before or during the tour
• Unsafe weather can delay or cancel the tour
• Pregnant participants join at their own risk; consult a physician beforehand
