Important details
- Basic knowledge of operating fishing equipment is required; ongoing instruction is not included.
- Children under 15 require supervision.
- Identification information is required for the rental.
- A California fishing license is required when fishing from the beach or a boat.
- A separate $100 security deposit per rod is required and is not included in the listed price. It is refundable when the equipment is returned in its original condition; processing may take up to 5 business days.
- You are financially responsible for lost, stolen or damaged equipment. Equipment damage or loss forfeits the full deposit.
- Sign the waiver before collecting your equipment, and follow safety instructions and local regulations.
- Maintain the equipment throughout your rental and return it to the designated drop-off location for inspection.
- Arrive on time to use your full rental period. Return the equipment within 1 hour of the rental end time. Keeping it beyond the permitted return window without permission forfeits the deposit and incurs an additional day's rental charge, which is not included in the listed price.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations 3 hours or less before start incur a 50% charge; the deposit is fully refunded. Otherwise, full refunds apply at least 1 week before start or within 24 hours of booking with more than 72 hours remaining. Partial refunds apply between 72 hours and 1 week before start. Inside 72 hours, cancellations within 24 hours of booking receive partial refunds case by case. Activities run in rain.

FAQs

Snares, a crab measuring gauge, a towel and a hoop net are not included. Snares are available to purchase at pickup for $20 each and are nonreturnable. Measuring gauges and towels are also available to purchase at pickup.
Bring sun protection and a waterproof container to hold any crab you catch.
