- Requires no marine losses in the past 10 years, violations or suspensions in the past 5 years, or criminal convictions or no-contest pleas
- Requires a Boater's License for renters born after January 1, 1988
- Bring a driver's license at check-in
- Sign a release waiver; all passengers must sign one too
- Stay within the Intracoastal and Sarasota Bay area; Gulf of Mexico travel is not permitted
- Stay no farther north than the south end of Longboat Key or south than the Venice Jetties
- Accept responsibility for property damage and injuries to you and your passengers
