Tastebud Tours delivers an excellent introduction to New Orleans food culture, with guides like Charles, Linda, Suzanne, and Lyndel earning consistent praise for their deep knowledge of both culinary traditions and city history. The walking tour through the French Quarter hits classic NOLA staples: po'boys dripping with gravy, muffulettas, gumbo, jambalaya, and pralines. Most visitors leave impressed by how much they learned about the city's cultural evolution while sampling its signature dishes, with many calling it a trip highlight. A couple of recent reviews mention disappointingly small portions that left them hungry, and one tour experienced organizational issues with a late start. The experience seems to vary somewhat depending on timing and guide, though the vast majority of feedback is overwhelmingly positive. Most travelers found the combination of storytelling, historical context, and food sampling well worth it, particularly appreciating how guides shared restaurant recommendations and neighborhood insights that enhanced the rest of their visit.
*11 October 2025* This is a cute, little trinket shop! I found a cute, sparkly compact mirror that says New Orleans on the cover. I wanted to buy something that I would use every single day. This was a perfect souvenir for myself. It was $10, I believe. I would totally come here again in the future the next time I'm in NOLA, just to see the new goodies they have in stock. I did want to buy one of their jumpsuits, but they did not have one in a pattern that I liked.
