Sonoma Valley Bike Tours & Rentals invites you to savor wine country from the seat of a comfortable hybrid or whisper-quiet e-bike. Locally owned and led by longtime Sonoma residents, the team pairs deep regional knowledge with genuine hospitality, guiding guests along quiet backroads to family-run wineries, farm stands, and postcard-worthy vistas. Choose a relaxed half-day spin, a full-day adventure, or set your own pace on a self-guided ride—every route is thoughtfully designed, equipment meticulously maintained, and every stop infused with the easygoing spirit that defines Sonoma.
The staff here clearly makes the difference. Hunt gets called out repeatedly for his humor, local knowledge, and route recommendations that turn good days into great ones. Other guides like Philip, Emily, Bruce, and Mike earn similar praise for being knowledgeable and genuinely fun to ride with. Even if you're just renting bikes without a guide, the team takes time to map out scenic routes and suggest wineries and lunch spots worth visiting. Both the e-bikes and traditional bikes are well-maintained and comfortable for all-day rides. Groups consistently mention how easy everything is, from the initial setup to following suggested routes via Google Maps. The tours typically hit beautiful wineries like Buena Vista and include generous tastings and solid lunches. One family loved their tandem e-bike so much they joked about it being a "divorce bike" that actually strengthened their relationship. Whether you book a guided tour or go self-directed, this is one of those experiences that becomes a trip highlight.
What a great day we had! 4 girls from Michigan, paired up with two couples from Indy and NJ, with amazing tour guide Mike! We road 7-10 miles. We stopped in a field where Mike explained the growing process, Buena Vista winery for the most interesting tour and our favorite tasting, and then a local cheese shop. Having a local as our tour guide provided the best, most unique experience. Some of us had e-bikes and some had regular bikes. It was our favorite day of our visit to Napa & Sonoma!
