What's Included
- Motorcycle
- Half-shell helmet
- Liability insurance, subject to age eligibility and rental terms
Important details
- Included insurance requires age 21 or older. Under-21 riders require their own comprehensive insurance and a motorcycle-endorsed driver's license.
- A valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement is required. Bring it for the arrival check; failure to present it results in cancellation without a refund.
- Fuel, damage, recovery, violation and late-return charges are not included in the listed price and are charged separately if incurred.
- Return the motorcycle with a full tank of 92-octane gasoline. A $25 fuel charge applies if the tank is not full.
- Taking this street bike off-road or on the south-side route to or from Hāna incurs a minimum $500 service charge.
- You are responsible for motorcycle damage, including vandalism and mechanical damage caused by negligent operation or missed maintenance, plus lost rental revenue while the bike is unavailable for repairs or parts. Lost or stolen tools, tires and accessories are also your responsibility.
- A $50 charge applies for each lost key, flat tire, dead battery, missing registration card or missing no-fault insurance card. A missing license plate incurs a $125 charge.
- A lost or damaged helmet incurs a minimum $100 charge, including scratches, dents, scuffs or cracks.
- You are responsible for tire-changing and roadside-service costs, parking and traffic fines, and claims or legal expenses arising from your use of the motorcycle. Unpaid charges accrue 1% interest per month; recovery and collection costs also apply.
- Keep the motorcycle on Maui and on paved roads. Do not use the south-side route to or from Hāna. All motorcycles are tracked by GPS.
- Only you, as the renter, are authorized to drive. Do not transfer or sublet the motorcycle, carry passengers or property for hire, race, ride recklessly, tow another vehicle, or ride under the influence. Follow applicable laws; violating the operating rules ends your permission to ride and invalidates insurance.
- Do not carry surfboards, kayaks, canoes or gliders. Attaching equipment or other items requires written permission.
- Sign the waiver before riding; you can complete it in person on arrival.
- Check the engine oil at every refueling. Lock the motorcycle and remove the keys whenever it is not in use.
- Make an immediate police report for any damage, and file an accident report within 2 hours. Failure to report or cooperate can leave you responsible for rental charges until the vehicle is recovered. If the motorcycle is stolen or missing, return the keys; otherwise, rental charges continue until recovery.
- Return the motorcycle in its original condition, allowing for ordinary wear, and remove your belongings before returning it. The motorcycle may be substituted for maintenance, and the rental may be terminated with an immediate return required.
- Return the motorcycle by its due date and time. Returns 30 minutes or more late incur at least one hour of rental charges. If a late return causes the next reservation to be lost, you may be responsible for that reservation's full charges. Motorcycles not returned by the due date are reported to police as missing.
