The overwhelming majority of guests rave about their experiences with guides like Michelle, Rocky, Troy, and Taven, who clearly know how to make these tours entertaining and educational. Michelle gets particular praise for her restaurant selections and photography skills, with one guest even converted from hating guacamole to loving it after her recommendations. The variety is impressive too, from culinary walks through downtown Sarasota and Venice to shark tooth hunting adventures and spooky ghost tours. Guides consistently earn kudos for blending local history with food experiences, making the tours feel authentic rather than touristy. There have been occasional hiccups with communication and timing issues, though the company appears responsive when concerns are raised. A couple guests on specific tours felt the value didn't quite match their expectations, particularly regarding portion sizes or the guide spending too much time on personal stories. But these experiences seem to be outliers. Most groups, whether couples or parties of twelve, come away genuinely thrilled with what they discovered about the area and where they ate, often planning to book another tour before they've even finished the first one.
We had the MOST amazing culinary tour and cannot wait to do it again! Recently we used Maggie and her team for our When SHE Happens women's networking lunch event and had the pleasure of experiencing a 90 minute tour of downtown Sarasota. Every bit of the tour was excellent and we HIGHLY recommend them. Not only did we learn interesting history about Sarasota, but all of the food was absolutely delicious too.
