Launch & Paddle to Masonboro Island Participants paddle toward the protected island and marsh estuaires marshlands that make up Masonboro Island
Explore the Coastal Ecosystem Guests kayak through tidal flats, marshes, and barrier islands while spotting wildlife such as birds, fish, and other marine life.
Island Stops & Exploration Depending on conditions, the group may stop for shell hunting, island hopping, or exploring the shoreline.
Return Paddle After exploring the reserve, the group paddles back to the launch point to end the tour.

This route is recommended for confident kayak paddlers and above. You will cross a busy boat channel and may encounter boat wake.
Single kayaks are listed for ages 12+. Tandem kayaks have no minimum age if one paddler is an adult.
You paddle the Intracoastal waterways and salt marsh estuaries, and you may get close to the open Atlantic Ocean. Expect changing tidal landscapes, plus a busy boat channel with boat wake.
