Sunset & Fireworks Cruise in Honolulu

Once in a lifetime fishing experience. Researched a lot of boats on Oahu. Did not regret my choice of Capt Max and JP on the Limitless. Regardless of catching or not catching the boat and especially the attitude of the crew was AMAZING!! It’s not about the catch. Fishing is fishing and you are going to have days of getting skunked. It’s about attitude and the experience. Helps that the boat is amazing but definitely the crew that makes the moment. Earlier in the week I sent Capt Max an email telling him what I would like to target: Aloha Captain, We’re really looking forward to getting out on the water with you this Friday! Ahead of our trip, I wanted to share a few preferences to help with planning: Fish Retention: We have no desire to keep or process any of the catch. The crew is welcome to keep 100% of anything we hook to use themselves or sell at auction. We’re just after the experience, the fight, and a few great photos. Fishing Goals: Our top priority is a Blue Marlin. If the marlin bite isn't there, we'd be thrilled with a nice Mahi, Ono, or a large Ahi. Since we have a 6-hour private charter, we'd rather spend our time pursuing a trophy fish or quality pelagic than catching a larger number of smaller fish. Target Area: If conditions are favorable, we'd love the opportunity to fish Penguin Bank. However, if you feel the fishing, current, weather, or sea conditions make the Waianae Trolling Alley—or anywhere else—offers the best opportunity that morning, we're completely on board with whatever you recommend. We trust your judgment completely and know you'll make the best call based on the latest conditions and where the fish are biting. We'll see you at the dock around 5:30 a.m. Mahalo, I was so impressed that the Captain had read it and just didn’t skim over it. He laid out his plan given the conditions and the bite. He kept with his plan. JP kept trying different spreads and explained what he was doing the whole time. Now getting to the catch. Watching Capt Max and JP work like a well oiled machine. Great use of technology as soon as they got me strapped to the chair and harness they were putting on a set of communication headphones so I could clearly hear instructions on how to handle the fish and what they were doing. Incredible, incredible trip. You have to book them!!! You won’t be sorry. If you are a Veteran definitely book them since they are both brothers. If you are new to fishing definitely a must book. Fishing is 95% about the trip, the boat, the crew, and the experience.
