FAQs
If you were born on January 1, 1978 or later, complete an approved boater education course before operating the vessel. If you’re not exempt, complete the Virginia Dockside Safety Checklist before arrival and bring a printed or electronic copy with you while operating the boat.
Arrive at least 45 minutes before departure to check in and complete any final steps. If you need to review Virginia boating regulations and take the certification exam, arrive 30 minutes ahead of your scheduled reservation time.
Bring a cooler with food and drinks (no glass). You can also bring a speaker.
