Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time.
Wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals). They also recommend long pants, or shorts that reach at least to your knees (especially on an ATV, as seats can get very warm in summer).
Bring your driver’s license and a credit card. Bring a camera and a jacket unless it’s the middle of summer. Water is provided; you can also bring other non-alcoholic beverages, and they typically have cooler space.
Sand Hollow State Park
Near Zion and St. George, this ATV and UTV tour operation has built a strong reputation on the back of genuinely passionate guides. Will comes up again and again in reviews as a standout, praised for his deep knowledge of local geology, native plants, wildlife, and history, all delivered in a way that feels more like riding with a friend than following a tour script. Guides like Dan, Dave, Kerry, and Cary earn similar praise, and the booking experience with staff like Cindy is described as smooth and welcoming. Tours range from sunset rides to nighttime adventures, with sand dunes, mountain views, and scenic pit stops along the way. Families with young kids have felt comfortable and safe, while thrill-seekers consistently rave about the excitement of the trails. The UTVs are well-maintained and guides take time to walk first-timers through everything they need to know. Nearly every reviewer walks away calling it a trip highlight, which is saying something in an area packed with incredible outdoor experiences.
We did the 4 hour sunset atv tour and it was fantastic. The guides, equipment, and views were 10/10. Definitely a fun way to see the area after nonstop hiking!
