Vanishing Island Sandbar Tour in Hilton Head

Itinerary

Leaving our dock location out of Broad Creek, we'll make our way down the Calibogue Sound enroute to the Vanishing Mile Isle, a sandbar at the mouth of the sound. We usually encounter dolphins along the way playing and hunting. We'll spend about an hour exploring the sandbar. Once we've had our fill of exploring, we'll make our way into the back creeks of the marsh with the chance of finding dolphins strand feeding, a technique where dolphins will beach themselves along the mud banks hunting. If time permits, we'll stop off at an old shell shore made of millions of oyster and clam shells before making our way back into Broad Creek and returning to our dock location.
