See Honolulu’s Friday night fireworks from the water with an open bar
1 hour
Open bar, fireworks viewing
Experience Honolulu’s Friday night fireworks aboard Makani Catamaran. Enjoy onboard comforts as the city lights and sky come alive.
Check-in: Around 7:00 PM at Kewalo Basin Harbor Arrive early for boarding.
Departure: 7:30 PM sharp. Board the spacious 65-foot luxury catamaran Makani (stable, smooth ride with covered seating, restrooms, and open deck areas). A short safety briefing.
Sailing Out: The catamaran sets off along Oahu's southern coast/Waikiki shoreline. Enjoy scenic cruising past the twinkling Honolulu skyline, Diamond Head silhouette (if visible in twilight), and the Ko’olau Mountains. Relax with the ocean breeze as the sun has set and night falls.
Fireworks Viewing: Positioned for an unbeatable front-row spot on the water. The fireworks (usually starting around 8:00–8:30 PM, depending on the season) light up the sky over Waikiki Beach—vibrant bursts of color reflected on the ocean. It's a spectacular, intimate view compared to shore crowds.
Onboard Experience: Sip from the open bar, enjoy Hawaiian vibes, and take photos of the city lights and fireworks.
Return: The cruise wraps up after about 1 hour total, returning to Kewalo Harbor around 8:30 PM.

Travelers consistently rave about the exceptional crew who make these catamaran tours special. From Bo and the team to the front desk staff, everyone gets praised for being welcoming, friendly, and going above and beyond with customer service. One guest even mentioned how accommodating they were when traffic caused them to miss their scheduled departure, switching them to a later tour without hassle. The experience itself delivers on the scenic beauty front. Guests regularly spot turtles, dolphins, and whales during their sails around Oahu's coastline. The open bar is a huge hit and considered great value, with the sunset cruise option being particularly popular for its picturesque views and relaxed atmosphere. A few guests wished for more narration or commentary during the sail to learn about what they were seeing, though this seems like a minor preference rather than a deal-breaker. Overall, it's described as a fun outing for celebrations, couples, and families alike, with reasonable pricing that makes it feel worth every penny.
Was an amazing experience. The crew were so attentive and kind. The drinks were amazing. One of my favorite things I did on our trip!
