Austin Visitors Center (602 E 4th Street)
Guides like Big Daddy Bacon, Hanna, Lexi, Pip Pickadilly, and Harry seem to be the heartbeat of these Austin bus tours, and reviewers consistently praise them for being knowledgeable, entertaining, and genuinely fun to spend time with. The tours blend live music, local history, food stops, and quirky Austin culture into something that feels distinctly different from a typical city tour. Repeat visitors are common, with some guests returning for their fourth and fifth tours across different themes like the Brunch Bus, Live Music, and Keep Austin Weird options. A handful of reviewers mentioned that certain guides leaned too heavily into personal stories and opinions rather than focusing on the city itself, which is worth knowing if you're hoping for a tightly structured, information-dense experience. The food-focused tours also received mixed feedback on portion sizes, with most finding them satisfying but a few expecting more. That said, the overwhelming majority of guests leave happy, and the seamless booking process and post-tour photo sharing get specific shoutouts as nice touches. If you're looking for a lively, only-in-Austin kind of outing, this one delivers.
We spent three days in Austin and the Twisted Texas Tour was the most fun we had on a very fun trip! As soon as we got on the colorful bus, we knew we were in for a good time. Pimp, the driver and Lucinda, his sidekick were endlessly entertaining. They were both so funny and knowledgeable and showed us all around the city. Lucinda had her guitar and sang as we drove along. She has a great voice and her songs fit in perfectly, from her originals about Willie Nelson to the booming development in Austin. I can't recommend this tour highly enough! So much laughter. :)
