Wildlife Sanctuary Entry at Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas

Explore an open, interactive wildlife sanctuary, following elevated boardwalks through rainforest and discovering wetlands, woodland, savannah and nocturnal environments. Look for southern cassowaries and Lumholtz’s tree kangaroos, with opportunities to hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies.

Important details

• Children aged 0–3 enter free with the admission-only and breakfast options. Child tickets cover ages 4–14.
• For the breakfast option, children aged 0–14 require a paying adult companion.
• The crocodile swim is for ages 12+ only. Ages 12–17 require a paying adult companion.
• The crocodile swim requires climbing stairs or steps unassisted and swimming unaided without a flotation device.
• Sign a safety waiver and attend the safety briefing before the crocodile swim. Without both, you cannot take part in the swim.
• Flag any dietary allergies in advance for breakfast; the kitchen may be unable to make adjustments without prior notice. The seasonal menu may vary.
• Crocodile activity depends on weather and seasonal conditions. Feeding and interaction are not guaranteed, particularly during the cooler months of May–September.
• Breakfast with the Birds runs from 8–9am.
• Arrive 45 minutes before your crocodile swim time to register at reception.
