Barron River Grade 2-3 Rafting Near Cairns

Paddle through grade 2–3 rapids and calmer stretches beneath rainforest and granite cliffs in Barron Gorge National Park. Join a guided group on the water, with a choice of round-trip property transfers from Cairns or Port Douglas, or a self-drive option.

Itinerary

1. Start with your option's pickup or meeting point. Cairns pickup starts from 14:00, with an 08:00 morning departure during the Easter school holidays, 4–18 April. Port Douglas pickup departs at 13:45. For the self-drive option, meet at Lake Placid Carpark at 15:00, or at 09:00 during the Easter school holidays, 4–18 April.
2. Explore Barron Gorge National Park on a guided rafting experience. The itinerary lists 4 hours for the Cairns pickup option, 5 hours for the Port Douglas pickup option, and 2 hours 30 minutes for the self-drive option.
3. Return by the included shuttle with either pickup option; the Port Douglas option returns between 19:00 and 19:30. With the self-drive option, finish at Lake Placid Carpark at 17:30 after the afternoon departure or 11:30 after the morning departure.
