Wear quick-dry clothing, fleece, wool, or synthetic layers when possible. Avoid cotton, which stays cold when wet. Bring shoes or sandals that can get wet.
Stable tandem and single kayaks are available. Tandem kayaks may be recommended for children, nervous paddlers, or anyone who prefers extra stability and support.
Observe wildlife from respectful distances. The group follows practices designed to protect resting, feeding, nesting, and pupping animals.
