Jeff and his crew run a genuinely passionate operation that stands out from typical Vegas tourism. The French pilot brings championship-level experience and a fascinating ballooning history he loves sharing, along with plenty of dad jokes to keep everyone laughing. Reviewers consistently praise how the team makes nervous flyers feel completely at ease, and Jeff's technical skill shows in the smooth flights and impressive landings. The champagne toast in the desert after landing adds a special touch that people remember. The whole experience flows smoothly from hotel pickup through the flight to drop-off. Crew members like Chandler and JJ get frequent shoutouts for being friendly, helpful, and genuinely engaged throughout. Flight times can run shorter than expected when winds pick up, typically around 50 minutes rather than a full hour, but guests still find it worthwhile. One local resident expressed concerns about early morning noise and flight paths, though this appears to be an isolated issue among hundreds of satisfied travelers. First-time balloon riders especially appreciate how the team's expertise and warm personalities turn any nervousness into excitement.
Overall, my hot air balloon ride experience was beautiful and something I would recommend if you have the extra funds for it! Watching the sunrise over the mountains was absolutely breathtaking and made the early morning worth it. The staff was very friendly, informative and helped make the experience feel safe and enjoyable from start to finish. A few drawbacks to keep in mind~be prepared for a very early start. We had to wake up around 4 AM for transportation to the office and then to the launch site. Between pickup and drop-off, the total transportation time was around 3.5 hours, while the actual balloon ride itself was only about 45 minutes. Another thing to note is that the baskets can hold up to 16 people depending on the group size, so it could feel crowded. Luckily, our group only had 6 people, so we were in a smaller basket which made the experience much more comfortable and enjoyable. Despite the long transportation time, the views and overall experience were unforgettable and I’ll never forget it!
