Woods & Meadow Horseback Trail Ride in New Plymouth, Ohio

Jackie and her team have created something genuinely special at this rescue operation near Hocking Hills. What stands out most is how intimately Jackie knows each horse's personality and backstory, carefully pairing riders with animals that match their experience level. First-timers consistently praise her patience and thorough instruction, while those with riding experience appreciate learning new techniques through the English riding style. The property itself offers beautiful trails through meadows and woods, and visitors love meeting the menagerie of rescued goats, chickens, dogs, and other animals roaming the grounds. The overwhelming majority of guests describe transformative experiences, with many already planning return visits. However, there's one concerning review alleging poor animal care that sharply contrasts with the many others praising how well-loved and maintained the horses appear. Most reviewers specifically note the animals seem healthy and well-cared-for, and they appreciate Jackie's commitment to not pushing the horses beyond their comfort zones. The flexibility with scheduling and personalized attention make this feel like visiting a friend's farm rather than a commercial operation, which guests clearly value.
