Join the captain and crew of the historic A.J. Meerwald for a hands-on day aboard New Jersey's official tall ship. Help sail a 1928 oyster schooner while building traditional seamanship and marine science skills.
Runs rain or shine. If canceled for unsafe conditions, choose a transfer, donation, or refund. No refunds for no-shows or same-day cancellations.
Boarding requires climbing about 2–4 steps, and the dock can be steep depending on the tide. Onboard restrooms are not Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible.
Water refill stations are available. The small onboard restroom is difficult to access and for emergencies only; use the terminal restrooms before boarding.
Bring a personal U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket if you prefer; it is optional.
