Skylon Tower opened in 1965 and has since become one of the most recognisable landmarks on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, Ontario. Its distinctive yellow observation pod sits atop a concrete shaft and is visible for kilometres in every direction, serving as a natural orientation point for visitors navigating the busy tourist corridor along the gorge.

The tower's outdoor and indoor observation decks sit at roughly 236 metres above the base of the falls, offering unobstructed sightlines across both the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls. On clear days the view extends deep into the Niagara River and far across Lake Ontario to the north.

Above the observation level, the revolving dining room completes a full rotation roughly every hour, meaning every table eventually faces the falls. The menu focuses on Canadian and continental cuisine, and the setting makes an ordinary meal feel quietly exceptional.

The surrounding area rewards further exploration, and a short walk leads to Journey Behind the Falls, where tunnels cut through the rock bring you within metres of the cascading water. Skylon Tower earns its place as the defining overhead viewpoint in one of the most visited natural landscapes on earth.
