Waimea Canyon state park
Standing at the rim of Waimea Canyon State Park, you face a gorge nearly a mile wide and more than 3,600 feet deep, its layered walls striped in rust, ochre, and deep green. Carved by centuries of erosion and volcanic activity, Waimea Canyon State Park rewards every visitor who makes the winding drive up Waimea Canyon Drive with views that stop conversation cold.
