Surf instruction, Surfboard use
Build intermediate longboard skills in a 2-hour public session with in-water instruction and wave-catching help as needed. Ride one hour of left-breaking waves and one hour of right-breaking waves in a small group.
This session is for intermediate surfers who can pop up and navigate whitewater on their own. Shortboards are not recommended, and leashes must be worn at all times. Parking at American Dream Mall has a $5.00 + tax fee.
All bookings are non-refundable. Transfer free up to 7 days before. Under 7 days to 72 hours: $25 fee. Under 72 to 24 hours: $50 fee. Under 24 hours: no transfers or credit reimbursement. Operator may cancel due to mechanical or safety issues.
Join if you can pop up to your feet, understand basic surf safety and etiquette, navigate over and through whitewater on your own, and know correct wipeout technique. In-water instructors can assist with wave catching at the peak if you can’t paddle in.
Bring boardshorts or a bathing suit and a towel. A rashguard is optional. You can also bring your own surfboard.
You can use a surfboard from the complimentary quiver or bring your own. This session is best with a foam board, mid length, or longboard; shortboards are not recommended. Since you surf over a concrete reef, expect a risk of minor dings—leave your favorite board at home.

Skudin Surf delivers an exceptional indoor wave experience that consistently gets beginners up and riding within their first session. The instructors stand out as the real stars here, with staff members like Cara, Shahaf, Kara, and Aaron earning specific praise for their patience, technical knowledge, and ability to maximize wave time. Reviewers love how efficiently the operation runs, with minimal downtime between waves and instructors who keep things moving. The controlled environment means quality surf time year-round, with many noting they caught more good rides here than during entire seasons at the Jersey Shore. The facility gets mixed feedback worth noting. Most find it clean and well-maintained with a great vibe, though one detailed review flagged concerning bathroom cleanliness and pest issues during an evening session. There's also an isolated incident of a last-minute cancellation with poor communication that left customers frustrated after traveling to get there. These seem to be outliers rather than patterns, but they're worth being aware of. For both beginners looking to learn proper technique and intermediate surfers wanting to sharpen their skills with consistent waves, the quality instruction and efficient setup make this a winning choice that families and individuals alike return to repeatedly.
Great team and great experience. Toliets and changing rooms better be cleaned up after water park users leave at 8pm and before surfers come in at 9pm.
