Help your child build kite control and water skills in a lesson tailored to their age and experience level at Kanaha Beach Park. Learn in a safety-focused setting with trained kiteboarding instructors and provided gear.
- Learn basic kite flying skills on land based on your child’s age
- Practice wind awareness, kite control, safety systems, and kite etiquette
- Progress to tandem body-drags and possible solo runs when ready
- Join as siblings, friends, or family for a shared group activity
- Upgrade to a Senior instructor for an extra $10 per hour or Training Master for $20 per hour

Things to know
All participants must be confident swimmers. Lesson dates and times are limited, with no lessons on Sundays or public holidays. Bring cash for instructor tips or gratuities.
Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson start time. No refunds for no-shows or late cancellations within 24 hours of your scheduled lesson start time.

Yes. All participants must be confident swimmers.
Bring swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, food and drinks (none are available in the park), and cash for instructor tips or gratuities.
Wear suitable water-wear such as boardshorts or lycra pants and a rashguard shirt. Bring a small wetsuit top if you have one.
