Sail New York Harbor on a private 2-hour charter for up to 6 guests
2 Hours
Up to 6 people
Explore New York Harbor on a two-hour private sailing charter from Pier 25. Cruise past sights like the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Governors Island, and the Freedom Tower.
Maximum group size is 6 guests. Passengers 12 and under are required by law to wear a life jacket while onboard, and USCG-approved life jackets are available.
Your charter will be cancelled if the weather is inclement, as determined only by the captain. Examples include thunderstorms, excessive winds, and rainstorms. The charter will still occur in light rain, cloudy skies, and other non-inclement conditions. Charters are not rescheduled due to weather forecasts.
Arrive 15 minutes before your charter start time.
Yes. Bring your own food and drinks (including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages). Plan picnic-style snacks and easy-to-eat items like sandwiches, since there is no formal table on board.
Dress for safety, comfort, and weather. In spring and fall, wear layers and bring a jacket or sweatshirt. In summer, bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Wear soft-soled shoes (boat shoes or sneakers); you may be asked to go barefoot if you wear hard-soled shoes or high heels.
Pier 25 at Hudson River Park
Sailing around New York Harbor with this crew has become a go-to experience for visitors and locals alike, with many guests returning year after year. The captains, including Mike, Thomas, Kara, Ken, and Rick, consistently earn praise for being warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. First mates like Natasha, Claudia, and Daniel add to the welcoming atmosphere, making everyone feel at home from the moment they step aboard. The sailboat itself seems to be a big part of the appeal. Guests frequently note how different it feels compared to a typical ferry or motorboat tour, especially during sunset when the views of the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty are at their best. The booking process also gets high marks, with a responsive office team that makes planning easy. One pattern worth noting is that several guests wished they had booked the three-hour option rather than two, so it may be worth considering the longer sail if your schedule allows.
We had a wonderful experience with Captain Thomas on our sunset cruise. There were 5 of us on board and we all enjoyed it throughly. It was the most memorable part of our trip!
