3-16 Mile Mad River Canoe Trips

Know before you go

• Arrive 30 minutes before your reservation time for check-in
• Finish before 6:00 PM; all boats must be off the river by then
• Paddling experience is required; swimming experience is recommended
• Use enclosed-toe, enclosed-heel shoes; flip-flops aren't allowed
• Bring coolers without Styrofoam or glass containers
• Don't bring pets or jump from bridges; bridge jumping results in a lifetime ban
• If you're under 18, an adult age 18 or older must sign you in
• The 16-mile route requires a minimum of two boats
• Limit each canoe to 2 adults on 8-, 11-, and 16-mile routes, or 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children on the 3-mile route
