Itinerary
- Check in at Birch Bark Canoe Livery about 15 minutes before your scheduled trip.
- Complete waivers and payments (or handle online ahead of time).
- Shuttle to the launch point at the State Route 296 bridge.
- Start your float — relax and let the river do the work!
- Pass under beautiful tree cover and enjoy the scenery.
- Watch for the Birch Bark sign on the right-hand side — that's your takeout spot.
- Park your tube, return your gear, and you're back where you started!

Cancellation Policy
Full refund with at least 24 hours' notice. A 50% refund is available with at least 2 hours' notice. No refund for no-shows. Full refund if the operator closes due to weather, poor river conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Wear quick-dry clothing or swimwear and water shoes or old sneakers; avoid flip-flops. Bring sunscreen, drinking water, and a dry bag for keys, phones, and valuables. Leave a towel in your car for after the trip.
For the Mad River float, children 12 and younger must wear a life jacket at all times. Participants older than 12 must carry a life jacket but do not have to wear it.
