Paddle Yellowstone Lake with a guide in a small group
3 Hours
Guide, Kayaking equipment
Kayak the shoreline of Yellowstone Lake on a 3-hour guided trip from Grant Village Marina. You’ll learn kayak control as you explore geothermal features along the water’s edge.
Ages 12 and under must ride in a tandem kayak with an adult. Plan to arrive 30–45 minutes early and expect limited cell coverage in Yellowstone National Park. It is customary to tip your guide 15%.
Cancel more than 48 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of the start time are charged in full. The operator may refuse service, including for guests who arrive intoxicated or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Dress for the weather and plan to get wet. Wear layers, synthetic quick-drying shorts or wind pants, and shoes you don’t mind getting wet. Avoid cotton clothing and jeans because they don’t dry quickly and won’t keep you warm when wet.
Bring personal drinking water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a camera. A rain or wind jacket and extra warm layers (or a change of warm, dry clothes for after the trip) are also recommended.
No prior kayaking experience is required. Your guide teaches you how to safely and properly control your kayak during the trip.
