6502 S Page Valley Rd, Luray, VA 22835
Beneath the Shenandoah Valley floor, Luray Caverns opens into a world of stone formations that took millions of years to grow. The air is cool and damp, carrying the faint mineral scent of deep earth, while soft lighting reveals columns, draperies, and pools so still they mirror the ceiling above. Luray Caverns rewards every visitor who steps below the surface with something genuinely difficult to describe until you see it yourself.
Had a great time. They seemed a bit disorganized but they also had over 250 people to get on the river and a broken bus...so some disorganization is to be expected. We had a wonderful adventure and the 3 miles took just about 4 hours. Learned a few things... Bring bungee chords to attach tubes together rather than using their string. Don't get out of your tube unless you are strong enough to get back in. If you choose to swim. Wear your vest.
