Choose from ocean and beach rentals from Kona Boys to fit your plans on the Big Island. Pick up and return gear during shop or shack hours.
Full refund if you cancel more than 48 hours in advance. With less than 48 hours notice, you may be charged the full amount. No-shows are charged the full price. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Pick up and return your rental gear at either the Kona Boys shop (79-7539 Mamalahoa Hwy) or the shack (75-5664 Kaahumanu Place).
Shop: Monday–Saturday 7–12; Sunday 9–2. Shack: Daily 8am–5pm.
Open the gate on the north side of the front of the Kona Boys building (combo lock code 3366), place your rental gear inside the gate, scan the QR code inside the lock gate to open a text message, add the reservation name, send the text, then close and lock the gate.

The kayaks are such a thoughtful way to visit this beautiful and protected space. Our tour guide Evan was absolutely amazing! He shared so much information about history, culture, and the environment it really made such a difference how we viewed our trip. Even our teenagers were engaged and talked about all they learned. Lunch from the coffee shack topped off the experience. Check in at their storefront was friendly and easy and parking at the bay was clear. Would definitely recommend and we would do again and again!
