Stay outside for the full experience. You do not enter indoor properties, and you are not allowed to go inside the lighthouses.
Walk about 3/4 mile and expect to walk and stand, usually for about 15 minutes at a time.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather; nights can get cold by the lake. Bring a fully charged phone, and consider a digital camera or smartphone for photos.

Kimberly Christine is clearly the heart of these tours, and reviewers can't stop raving about her. Her background in theater shows, she has a natural storytelling ability that keeps groups engaged while weaving together local paranormal accounts, personal experiences, and genuinely surprising Duluth history. Several longtime locals and repeat visitors mentioned learning things they'd never come across before, which says a lot. The Canal Park walking tour is the standout offering, typically wrapping up with a Spirit Box session that guests seem to love. Ghost hunting gear is available for those who want to dig in, but Kim makes it comfortable for anyone who'd rather just listen and explore. One reviewer noted the Quarry Walk leaned more toward geology than the paranormal, so if you're strictly chasing ghost stories, the Canal Park tour is probably your best bet. Small group sizes make the experience feel personal, and Kim has a reputation for being thoughtful and accommodating, including going out of her way for guests with physical limitations. Whether you're a paranormal enthusiast or just someone who enjoys a good story on a walk, this is one of those experiences that tends to stick with people long after the tour ends.
Did the quarry park tour tonight and had a blast! We learned a lot about history of the area, and even got to talk to some spirits! Kim is so fun and easy to be around, I would definitely do a tour again!
