    • Bring sunscreen, water, snacks or lunch, bug spray, hand sanitizer, wipes, a first-aid kit, binoculars, and a charged camera phone
    • Children under 12 must remain supervised by an adult throughout the tour
    • Pets are not allowed on hiking tours
    • Non-Navajo visitors need a Navajo Nation backcountry permit; it costs $15 per person, cash only, and is not included in the listed price

    FAQs

    Your Canyon de Chelly hike follows Navajo Nation Mountain Daylight Time from spring through fall, which is one hour ahead of Arizona time.

    Non-Navajo visitors obtain the permit after meeting the guide. You will go together to the permit office, where you and the guide sign the permit.

    Keep your belongings secure. Antelope House Tours is not responsible for lost or stolen items during the hike.
