Colorado Springs Expedition Climbing Skills Class

Prepare for bigger climbs with practical expedition and winter backcountry skills. No previous climbing experience is necessary.

• Learn to manage expedition equipment and keep it organized
• Practice winter campsite selection, construction, waste management, and packing
• Develop basic snow travel skills, including self-arrest
• Train in crevasse rescue and ascending and descending fixed lines
• Understand acclimatization, backcountry physiology, and avalanche rescue equipment
