Our Slipaway River Tour exceeded our expectations! We drove by some of the oldest and most beautiful homes in Wethersfield on a sunny afternoon to arrive at the Wethersfield Cove parking lot. The part sand, part gravel lot is not too bumpy for wheelchair/walker access for the ramp to the floating dock (the Slipaway boat has a ramp as well.) The Captain was very friendly, knowledgeable, and had water and snacks on board. We took the 30-minute tour, and after a nice slow turn around the cove, we went out to the Connecticut River and saw bald eagles! We’re looking forward to an hour tour next time for views of Hartford you can only get from the water!
