Step inside the Alaska Native Heritage Center and you enter a world shaped by thousands of years of ingenuity and connection to the land. Traditional clan houses ring a reflective lake, each built by Native artisans and representing a different cultural group from across the state. The Alaska Native Heritage Center brings that living heritage into focus through dance performances, hands-on demonstrations, and galleries filled with ancestral objects. It is one of the most meaningful cultural stops in all of Anchorage.
We had a great day checking out a few spots out side of town. A gorgeous waterfall up close and personal. Great views of the river and an old decommissioned bridge that gave fantastic views and photos! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area, as well as wild life and local history. It was a fantastic small group adventure. Great for all ages. Thank you Brittney!!!
