Take on Molokini’s Backwall with 2 advanced drift dives
6:10 in the morning and we return to the Kihei Boat Ramp between 11:30-12 pm
Snacks, fruit, beverages
Join an advanced, certified-diver boat trip to Molokini’s Backwall and a second site, with drift dives designed for experienced divers. You’ll check in early, dive deep terrain, and refuel with onboard snacks and drinks between dives.
These are drift dives and may require rapid descents; you must be able to equalize and complete a 3-minute safety stop while actively swimming. A minimum of 40 lifetime dives is required, and if you have not dived in over 2 years, a refresher is required prior to the trip. If conditions are not safe for the Backwall, the captain may choose alternate advanced sites and no refunds are issued if you do not dive the Backwall due to weather.
Cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before your boat trip with no financial forfeitures (72 hours Dec 15–Jan 5; 96 hours for private charters). If a boat dive is cancelled due to bad weather, you can reschedule if possible or receive a complete refund.
Yes. You need at least 40 lifetime dives, and you should have dived within the last 6 months to be a good fit for this trip.
Plan for live boat drop-offs and pick-ups. You must equalize your ears easily, be ready for a potentially rapid descent, and complete a 3-minute safety stop while actively swimming with solid buoyancy and depth control.
You need recent dive experience within the last 2 years. If it has been more than 2 years since your last dive, you must complete a refresher dive (or a guided dive) before your boat trip.

Divers consistently praise this operation for making guests feel like VIPs rather than just another booking. Javier and his crew handle virtually everything—setting up gear, breaking it down, even cleaning equipment—so you can focus entirely on the underwater experience. The team includes experienced divemasters like John, Katie, and Christinia who brief groups thoroughly and make less experienced divers feel comfortable. Captains like Steve are known for excellent customer service, and there's a bonus whale watching element during surface intervals that guests absolutely love. The Molokini dives get rave reviews for incredible visibility and marine life, with many diving the back wall for dramatic drop-offs and others exploring the crater itself. Most reviewers highlight the small group sizes and relaxed atmosphere on the boat, complete with shade, snacks, and warm freshwater rinses. One guest with extensive Maui diving experience across multiple companies called this their most professionally run trip. A couple of reviewers mentioned expectations around boat amenities and group attention that didn't quite match the premium price point, but the overwhelming majority describe this as a top-tier diving experience worth every penny.
Dove the crater on March 23. Visibility was low, but still saw some amazing critters. Also, the whale songs made even more magical. John, Scotty and the crew were excellent. Highly recommend them for your Maui dive.
