- Children ages 4–12 must paddle with an adult in a tandem kayak
- Solo kayaking is for ages 13+
- Expect park entry fees not included in the listed price: $8 per vehicle for 2–8 people, $4 for a single-occupant vehicle, or $2 per pedestrian or bicycle
- Expect recovery or assistance fees starting at $100 if equipment retrieval or help returning to the launch area is needed; outside rescue may add charges
