This Brooklyn-based bike tour operation has built a stellar reputation around exceptional guides and top-quality electric bikes. Michael gets mentioned repeatedly for his enthusiasm, flexibility, and deep knowledge of the city, while guides like Petra and Carla also earn praise for making tours both fun and informative. The Gazelle e-bikes are consistently described as well-maintained and easy to ride, handling NYC streets with confidence even for visitors nervous about urban cycling. The guided tours cover impressive ground, taking small groups through Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, Dumbo, and across the bridges, with guides willing to adjust routes based on what you've already seen or want to explore. Many reviewers recommend booking early in your trip to benefit from restaurant and bar recommendations. One visitor did experience a battery issue on a cargo e-bike that cut their self-guided rental short, though the standard e-bikes seem reliable. If you're tall, note that some found the bikes ran a bit small. Overall, this appears to be an excellent way to cover more territory than walking while getting insider knowledge of the city.
Last April, we had a fantastic private bike tour with Michael. He's a great guy and knows so much about New York. It was just fun. We were very enthusiastic about this tour. The e-bikes were excellent and made cycling through the city easy. It was a wonderful experience to cycle through the streets of New York. We explored Midtown, Times Square, Little Italy, Chinatown, and along the Hudson River, the Lower East Side, Brooklyn, and the Manhattan Bridge. And so on. This was truly amazing.
