More about Vermilion Cliffs National Monument

Vermilion Cliffs National Monument rises just beyond the horizon of this epic UTV adventure, painting the Arizona sky with bands of crimson, ochre, and rust that have drawn explorers, photographers, and dreamers for generations. While the three-hour off-road tour blasts through the rugged backcountry near the Utah-Arizona border, the towering escarpments of Vermilion Cliffs National Monument serve as a constant, breathtaking backdrop. This nearly 300,000-acre wilderness is famous for its sandstone formations, slot canyons, and the otherworldly waves of Coyote Buttes, making it one of the most photographed landscapes in the American Southwest.

From behind the wheel of your UTV, you will feel the desert come alive as the trail kicks up plumes of red dust and the wind carries the dry, sage-tinged scent of the high desert. The route weaves through sandy washes and rocky ridgelines, opening up to panoramic views where the layered cliffs glow brilliantly in the shifting sunlight. Unlike a slow scenic drive, this tour lets you cover serious ground, putting you closer to the raw terrain that defines Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. Expect heart-pounding climbs, wide-open straightaways, and quiet pull-offs where the only sound is the wind brushing against ancient stone.

This experience is perfect for adventure seekers, couples chasing a unique date, families with older kids ready for a thrill, and travelers who want more than a postcard view of the region. Photographers will love the dramatic light playing across the cliffs, while off-road enthusiasts will appreciate the freedom of piloting their own machine through terrain that feels worlds away from everyday life. If you want to feel the scale, color, and untamed spirit of Vermilion Cliffs National Monument in just a few unforgettable hours, this UTV tour is the ride you have been waiting for.

With a perfect track record across hundreds of adventures, this UTV tour operation delivers consistently thrilling off-road experiences through stunning desert terrain around the Vermilion Cliffs and Page Plateau. The guides—particularly James, Dan, Eddie, and Jamin—earn glowing praise for their local knowledge, friendly personalities, and ability to tailor rides to different skill levels and age groups. Families appreciate how well the guides engage with kids, while adrenaline seekers love that they're given freedom to really push the limits on the trails. The scenery steals the show, with multiple visitors noting that photos simply don't capture the reality. Tour options range from 1.5 to 3 hours, including popular sunset rides and unique after-dark adventures complete with stargazing and scorpion hunting under blacklight. The vehicles are well-maintained and powerful enough to deliver that roller-coaster excitement everyone raves about. Just come prepared to get dusty (bring a bandana), and expect some serious bumps along the way. The experience consistently ranks as a trip highlight for visitors of all ages.

We had an amazing private UTV tour of Vermillion Cliffs and Grand Staircase Escalante. James is an amazing guide and very knowledgeable of local wildlife and plant life. It was a great way to see plants blooming in the desert. We had a ton of fun zooming around over the terrain. Highly recommend!
