This tour company runs a solid operation with small groups of 10-12 people that keep things moving without feeling crowded. Multiple visitors praise how organized everything is, and many guides stand out for going the extra mile. Van, Bambi, Lana, Mike, and Josh all get called out by name for being knowledgeable, taking time to help with camera settings and photo angles, and sharing cultural and geological insights that really enhance the experience. The canyon itself is stunning, and reviewers appreciate that it's more affordable and less packed than the more famous Upper and Lower canyons. The physical access involves walking down and back up some stairs that most find manageable, though a few mention the uphill return takes some effort. There are occasional mentions of guide quality being inconsistent. A couple reviewers felt rushed or noted their guide didn't provide much commentary, while nearby groups got more detailed explanations. Timing matters too, as visiting late in the day may mean less dramatic lighting than those iconic photos you've seen. Overall though, the majority of recent visitors had excellent experiences and recommend booking here.
This was an excellent tour and I was able to get a lot of photos even without the photography tour. The guide was so informative and answered a lot of questions about the area and the Navajo nation in general. Highly recommend.
