Drift past riverfront homes and historic properties for water-level views of the city beyond the road.
-Arrive at the Graehl Park Launch Site Safety briefing and life jacket fitting. Overview of river conditions and tour route. Board the raft and begin your float.
-Scenic River Float Begins Relax as your guide navigates the Chena River. Learn about Fairbanks history, local culture, river life, and the city's development. Opportunities to spot wildlife including ducks, geese, beavers, muskrats, and occasionally moose.
-Optional Boatel Bar Stop Guests may choose to stop at the Boatel Bar for approximately 45 minutes. Enjoy a drink, stretch your legs, and experience a favorite local riverside gathering spot. Guests who prefer not to stop may relax by the river while others visit the bar. Beverages are available for purchase and are not included.
-Continue Downriver Resume the float through quieter stretches of the Chena River passing by the Riverboat Discovery. Enjoy additional sightseeing, wildlife viewing, and local stories from your guide.
-End at the Pumphouse Restaurant Conclude your river journey near the historic Pump House area. Group photo opportunity.
-Return Transportation or Dinner Option Guests may board the complimentary shuttle back to their hotel or pickup location. Alternatively, guests may opt out of transportation and stay at the Pump House Restaurant for dinner at their own expense.
