Chase, a former Yukon Quest racer, runs an outstanding dog mushing operation that visitors consistently praise as a highlight of their Alaska trip. Travelers love how he introduces each dog individually, sharing their personalities and backgrounds while guests get plenty of time to pet and bond with the enthusiastic team. His knowledge of mushing history and racing experience shines through in engaging, informative talks that appeal to complete beginners and those with prior interest alike. The dogs themselves steal the show with their obvious excitement to run and well-trained discipline. The experience works beautifully year-round, with visitors enjoying both snowy winter runs and summer excursions on ATVs through fall foliage. Families particularly appreciate how welcoming and down-to-earth Chase is, making the experience educational without being stuffy. Thoughtful touches like a warm yurt and rain gear for wet mornings show the care put into guest comfort. This is clearly a genuine operation where the strong bond between musher and dogs is immediately apparent.

One of the highlights of our Fairbanks trip last week was mushing with Last Frontier Mushing Co-op. Amanda was an amazing guide and as you can tell by the pics I LOVED all the dogs. It's really exhilarating!! We took the 50 minute ride and SO glad we did. A lot of companies really only took you out for 15-20 minutes and that would not have been enough. I felt that this tour was definitely a good value for money and a once in a lifetime experience. They even made sure we all had warm enough gear on and lent boots and some other items to people who maybe were not dressed warm enough.
