Itinerary
- Meet at Oskar Blues Brewery, NC where Headwaters Outfitters provides boats and gear.
- Take a quick bus shuttle to the Pisgah Forest access.
- Receive a brief safety orientation and gear assistance from staff.
- Paddle approximately five miles down the French Broad River over about two hours.
- Finish at the Penrose Access and shuttle back to Oskar Blues Brewery.
Important details
- Arrive dressed and ready 15 minutes before your trip start time
- Complete and sign the acknowledgement of risk and release of liability before going on the river; a legal guardian must sign for participants under 18
- All participants must be able to swim
- Wear shoes with no flip flops and a life jacket at all times on the river
- Drinks at Oskar Blues Brewery are not included in the listed price
Cancellation Policy
Full refund if you cancel 7+ days before your trip. Get a 50% refund if you cancel 1–6 days before. No refund for no-shows on the day of your trip. Full refund if the operator cancels due to thunder or lightning, unsafe air or water temperatures, high winds, or high water levels.
