Tucked away in Maple Glen, this private sanctuary has built a devoted following for good reason. The rescued animals, including camels, goats, piglets, cows, a retired racehorse, and more, are visibly well cared for, and the staff clearly knows each animal by name and story. Guides like Dana have been called out specifically for being patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the place. The range of experiences, from husbandry tours and baby goat yoga to cow cuddling and evening feeding sessions, gives visitors plenty of ways to connect with the animals. Families with young kids seem to have a particularly great time, though the workshops cater to older crowds too. One thing worth noting on cow cuddling: the experience can be a bit unpredictable depending on the animals' moods that day, so go in with an open mind. The overall vibe here is warm, purposeful, and surprisingly moving for many visitors. The sanctuary runs on genuine care rather than spectacle, and that comes through in every review.
You have to take the tour or pet the animals privately! It was such a pleasure to watch my grown children play with the fur babies! I loved feeding the lamb 🐑 🥰❤️
