Visit Fortress of the Bear to learn about and observe resident bears during a timed 40-minute admission window. Start with an educational introduction, then spend most of your time watching from the outdoor viewing deck.
Bear viewing is outdoors with sheltered and unsheltered areas. Timed admission is used to keep the viewing deck from being over capacity.
Cancel more than 48 hours before your booking for a 100% refund. Cancel 24–48 hours before for a 75% refund. Cancel less than 24 hours before for a 50% refund. Exception will be made for ship cancelations.

You book a specific 40-minute time frame to help manage capacity on the viewing deck. The first up to 10 minutes are educational with casual bear viewing, followed by primary viewing on the outside deck.
Yes. After your timed viewing period, you can return to the gift shop area with ground-level viewing windows, and there is no time limit there.
Dress appropriately for the weather. Bear viewing is outdoors and includes both sheltered and unsheltered areas.
