Pilot Knoll park
Pilot Knoll Park sits along the northern shore of Lake Lewisville, where tall pecans and post oaks cast shade over grassy clearings just steps from the water. The air smells of cedar and lake breeze, and the sound of lapping waves follows you along the shoreline trail. Whether you come for a quiet afternoon or a full day outdoors, Pilot Knoll Park rewards visitors with an unhurried, genuinely scenic corner of North Texas.
Juliet and her team have built something special here at this Lake Lewisville location. Reviewers consistently praise her as an exceptional instructor who makes paddleboarding accessible for complete beginners while still offering value to experienced paddlers. The beginner classes get particular attention, with multiple people mentioning how comfortable and confident they felt after just one lesson. Beyond the basics, there's also a unique SUP yoga experience with instructor Lucinda that includes floating meditation, which several guests found surprisingly relaxing. The setup is impressively convenient with a self-serve kiosk for rentals, and the location itself gets high marks for calm waters and scenic coves without heavy boat traffic. What stands out is how accommodating the staff is, meeting groups at 6 AM for sunrise paddles or helping customers choose between hardside and inflatable options. Juliet also leads international travel adventures, including catamaran trips to the Greek islands that reviewers describe as life-changing experiences with incredible food and community. The overall vibe is welcoming and supportive, with people genuinely excited to return and bring friends along.
