Important details
- The trick-or-treat trail is for ages 0–12. Children under 1 need a ticket to collect treats; admission is free for those not participating in the stations.
- Member rates require a valid Zoo membership. Library memberships are not valid for this event.
- Bring a valid military ID if using a military ticket.
- Parking is not included in the listed price. The City of Springfield collects $3 for Massachusetts license plates or $5 for out-of-state plates, cash only.
- Bring a bag or bucket for the trick-or-treat trail.
- Show your pre-purchased ticket at entry; digital tickets are accepted. No tickets are sold at the gate.
- Arrive within 15 minutes of your ticketed arrival time. Gates close at 1:30 p.m., with no entry afterward.
Cancellation Policy
All sales are final; no refunds. If you cannot attend due to illness, a Zoo credit can be issued for the amount paid. The event runs rain or shine. In severe weather, it moves to October 25. No refunds are offered for rain or use of the rain date.
