Echo's guides consistently earn praise for their expertise and genuine passion, particularly Kevin and Bryant who lead most of the fly fishing expeditions. First-timers rave about how patient and encouraging the guides are, providing all necessary equipment and teaching techniques that actually work. On the Yosemite tours, guides like Annette and Nate shine with their deep knowledge of the park's history, wildlife, and hidden gems. The small group sizes (maximum 9 people) mean personalized attention, and guides come prepared with thoughtful extras like coffee at pickup, snow spikes for winter hikes, and even cooking elaborate dinners in scenic settings. What really stands out is how the team removes all the stress from visiting Yosemite. Tours include park entry (no reservation hassles), and guides handle navigation so you can simply enjoy the scenery. Multiple reviews mention catching fish even as complete beginners, and tour participants appreciate seeing highlights they would have missed exploring independently. The bilingual capabilities also get specific mentions from Spanish-speaking visitors. Whether you're interested in fly fishing, hiking, or comprehensive park tours, the consistent thread is knowledgeable, enthusiastic guides who genuinely care about creating memorable experiences.
My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience on NYE! We did the Discovery Walk Tour w/ Sequoia Hike + Lunch - so glad we added on the hike + lunch! Having a driver and guide really took the stress out of navigating the park - it was all planned for us and we got to sit back, relax, and take in all the sites! Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and REALLY WENT THE EXTRA MILE to make sure we had the best experience! At pickup she had coffee, snacks, and water canisters for us, which was a surprise bonus! For the hike she came prepared with snow spikes, walking sticks, and gloves (my boyfriend forgot his). She also made sure to ask us what we wanted to see or what we wanted to skip. We got tons of beautiful photos, and to top it off our lunch was also very good! Thank you so much for making our experience wonderful! We will be recommending you to anyone visiting Yosemite!
